Yes, the hat is off. The tassel, however, may or may not be hanging from his tie.

The tassel was currently obscured by the roommate that was hugging him. "Congratulations!"

"Mostly I feel tired and sweaty and hungry," Xander answered, grinning. "Yay polyester."

"I wouldn't recommend polyester as a fabric to die in, frankly." Xander fingered the gown, then shuddered and unzipped it, throwing it over his arm. Leaving himself in old jeans and a dress shirt with tie. Because that's classy.

He winced. "Um. Speaking of later, we should probably talk then. About the room thing."
