Fannish games

The night before last, I was at the Foglios' for a fannish party - come one, come all, and there were a lot of "all".  One main event was in a large banquet hall: a bingo-style game called "Pick 50".  Players had double-sided bingo-type cards with grids of answers: words, numbers, phrases.  The caller asked riddles, puzzles, cryptic questions,

I spent a whole 45 seconds asking, "What? The Foglios live in Ottawa? Or wait, is Joel well enough to travel again? Awesome!" before it occurred to me to look for a dream tag. Then I had to go back to read about the game itself. :)

I have gone to cons in the past year, in Toronto, Montreal, and a town near Boston. But I did have to do some resting on the way, lying down in the back seat of the car, for the Toronto and Boston cons... having found out the hard way that travelling to Toronto without resting was a very bad idea.

I gather from their contact page that the Foglios live near Seattle.
