I wouldn't exactly call it a Rose/Ten shipper, though. Maybe in Rose's dreams, and they were crushed. Jackie: In forty years time, fifty, there'll be this woman, this strange woman, walking through the market place on some planet a billion miles from Earth. She's not Rose Tyler, not anymore. She's not even human.
You somehow managed to make me nostalgic for a show I've never seen! How does that happen??
Lovely vid, Zohar. It also shows your great instincts for musical expression - like when Rose approaches the camera as the music gets louder at :53; or the telephone booth crash at 1:10. Both very nice moments.
My favorite segment was from 2:42 on, the final "dancing girl" images - the skip, the toast - because they look so much more emotional in context there.
Thank you so much, Brad. I'm happy you noticed all those little things. Mother is a very emotional song for me (any Tori Amos song is) and I wanted to convey my feelings to others. I feel like I did in some levels :). ♥ Just one thing, it's not a telephone booth, it's a police box AKA TARDIS. But I'll give you some slack because you haven't watched the show ;).
I love Tori Amos too. I think I listened to the CD with that song on it about a million times in college. I'm planning a vid to one of the songs from that CD, too. :)
it's a police box
As little as I know about the show, I'm lucky that I didn't say something even more ignorant.
I loved your vid, too. ;) I really liked how it was toned, and you did a really good job on the overlaying of the clips and things. It's also a refreshing kind of vid, at least for me, because I've never seen any vids that are mostly about Jackie and Rose, and I loved their relationship and interaction throughout the series.
Zohar, you are awesomely brilliant. :D I'm blushing :D
Thank you!
Although Jackie is far from being a main character, she is still a part of Rose's life. Rose maneuvered throughout the show between her mother and the man that she loves (oh my, sounds like a phrase from Passions). During the second season, I noticed how she tamed herself for the Doctor and became less independent. The connection between Jackie and her seemed stronger than ever. She popped in more often. When Mickey stayed on the other Earth, she ran straight to her mother. The Doctor is still just a man and when he lets her down, she always has her mother. I thought it was worth pointing out.
