Maybe try training him to use an "elevator" - to go into his carrier or a litterbox and then be lifted to his cage. A small treat to get him to go in and another in the hutch.

Ditto on wendyzski's idea. I had a bunny girl living above another bun for a while and she definitely preferred the carrier to being picked up. Treats help, too.

I use a carrier as well, because I'm terrified of hurting their backs and they hate being carried. I just offer them the carrier and they get straight in. XD

I used to have bunny stairs made from crates. 2 crates and one in front, tied together with a mat on top. I used to just SHOW Mr Fritz the broom and say "Go Home" and he usually went straight away. I never used the broom on him and I can't remember how that started but when he saw it, he thumped and then climbed his stairs. well, most of the time. Use treats! Good Luck. BTW HE is wonderful!

Love, Hare
