I first came across the Tumblr pictures around Halloween and gidget_zb challenged me to use them in a story. So, I filed them away. Then I started to read your "Up a Tree" after writing the first bit of this fic a few months ago, promptly went OH CRAP and sat on it because I was afraid you would think I was plagiarizing you since you had already started your story. I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Nah, I don't mind. Similar ideas do seem to pop up at the same time with different people taking them in different directions.

I'm enjoying your story like mad. Keep writing it. (And I'll go back to trying, yet again, to work on the next chapter of "Up a Tree.")

I am so looking forward to this continuing - I love the ease with which River and the Doctor "sync up" together in this - so quickly on the same page - and I'm sure that's what they absolutely adore about each other - even though I'm sure they can read each other's minds they don't need to... they just fit!

Thank you! The next two chapters are done. I'll probably put chapter 2 up in a couple days, then I need to do my editing overhaul on chapter 3. I love how they "sync" up in the series too, especially when it's older River. River here has done Demon's Run from her perspective, but not Utah for the second time yet.

I know Betawho already quoted this sentence, but it needs to be said again, THIS is absolutely fantastic! As always, it's such a treat to read your Doctor--you nail his voice perfectly. Can't wait to read the upcoming chapters!
