Thanks! I figured she would be. She'd accepted her fate and now the Doctor is trying to change it, and I don't think River would want that. She's made her position quite clear in the episode proper that she doesn't want one bit of their time rewritten. But, she loves him so much that knowing how much he'll suffer is enough to make her want to try.

Thanks! I tried to go for realism here in that River wouldn't be exactly jumping up and down at the chance of being saved. She'd see it as the Doctor trying to make decisions for her again, and that doesn't sit well with her at all.

Such a beautiful fic! It's the first Library fix-it fic I read, and it's so great. And so believable. It could totally happen/have happened.
