It's February, a wonderful time to start thinking about gardens, especially in the bad old days before Global Warming where the weather was dismal at this time of year.

It has been at least twenty years since i read Green Thoughts, and i find that I don't remember it very well, except that I had hoped and expected to love it, and didn't. I retain a vague impression of having got a sense of Long Aristocratic Nose, when I read it.

Vis-a-vis bulbs and books, have you read Elizabeth Lawrence's The Little Bulbs? I like that tremendously.

On a serious note, I believe my lady would appreciate that book, as garden porn if nothing else!
