I agree. I think that a lot of time moms ask things not because they don't think you can do it, but because they really don't know and they're making assumptions from their frame of reference.
For example, my mom wants to know that the guy I'm with can take care of me (physically, emotionally, financially), but not because she doesn't think I can do it myself. It's just what they grew up with.
I think it's amazing that you did the half marathon and you've become so active. I feel like fitness can be very empowering. Go Jess!
