Man.... it's funny to think that game is still running. Back in '05 I played there as Gumshoe. XD
The people who still are there that I know are very nice though. The application is there just so they know YOU know about the character. I know the app is kinda big and scary, but they're not gonna lynch you if you pick up a character with less canon background and not go tl;dr for it.
Also, I don't think you need to have played a character to pick them up in an rp. If that was the case, then no one would be rping anywhere at all. XD GOTTA START SOMEWHERE!

Well, I took a look at the application and ohman. It looks like they want you to write about the character's family and other background outside of the games and ohman.
What I mean was that it's easier for me to develop a character AFTER I've started playing them in a particular RP rather than before. "I've been playing him like this, what would make him this way?"
Thanks for the advice, though. If I can get up the guts to do it, I definitely will. I was thinking about apping as Meekins since I think I could pull him off well.
