thanks for your comment in the Scarf-Style-Knitalong.
You will find the pattern in the book "Scarf Style".
My alterations are very simple:
Instead of the even border I knitted 7 rectangles at first. Cast on 8 st and work one rectangle, then at the end of the last right side row cast on 8 st and work the second rectangle over these 8 st, and so on until you have 7 rectangles. Then follow the pattern in the book.
At the end of the shawl you don't have to work the even border with triangles but work rectangles as all the rows before and bind off the st at the end of each rectangle.
Maybe it sounds as if it is difficult to do but it is as easy as the original pattern.
Keep on knitting. I hope you will have much fun.

I've dreamed about your shawl several nights in a row. This is usually me trying to convince myself to tackle something new. It happened with the socks too. I hope to learn this entralac style of knitting very soon - Need to get the "scarf style" book. Thanks again! L

I just linked to your blog from the knitting novices list, I just love this yarn you are using. Could you tell me what it is? I must have some. :-)))
I also love your ruffled scarf...do you have a link to the pattern?

And the pattern to the scarf is Misti Alpaca's Chunky rib and ruffles, only I altered it and used the seed stitch instead. I'm not much into ribbing on scarves for myself and I actually made that scarf for myself!
