I like writing Hermione like this, because I do think she has this side to her. And it is nice to see her take her hair down, so to speak. But I'm mildly regretful about it, because I wrote no plot at all, so I feel like she reads a slight bit OOC. Had I built a bit more plot up, it might have read a bit more naturally. Dunno.

I, too, think Hermione has this wild and free side. Though, it surely needs the right place, time and encouragement (namely a sexy Ron) to come forward.
However, I disagree that she reads a slight bit OOC. The lack of plot - at least to me - makes it believable because you can envision any circumstance around this scene. And they were already going to have a picnic, which is a private and care-free moment between the couple, and you say "Ron has seen Hermione many different ways" (a lot of them sexy ways), it doesn't seem sex is a new thing for them so I think the end result is justifiable.
Anyways, that's just IMHO. Still, loved the story, sequel plz? Pretty plz?
