Wow, this is really good! I haven't watched Falling Skies and didn't know anything about it beforehand, but this fic certainly has piqued my interest in it. I loved the character interactions (all of the Billy/Teddy ones, naturally, but I also really liked all of the subtle Teddy and Tommy moments, especially the bits about the thin line between their bonding after being rescued blurred together with the whole hive-mind thing with the skitters.) I also found all of the comparing Teddy did between life before the invasion to life afterwards really interesting, as well as all of the little ways everyone's coping with the sudden and extreme changes to their lives (there's something really amusing and yet a little sad about finding out about Eli's intensity with scrabble, Kate's knots, and Billy's skills with cards. Or everyone's minor complaints about food when in actuality they probably don't have much choice in what they can eat and when).
