I love this, it's such a beautiful character study of Kate and her boys. It feels hot and still, like the day you describe in it. And I do adore the bit of backstory you give Tommy here; that's something I always want to see more of, in this fandom.

There was originally waaay more Tommy backstory in my head, but as I wrote I realized it was fundamentally a story about Kate, and Tommy's issues had to take a back seat. BUT IN GENERAL IA

Oh man, this was an amazing OT3character introspective piece with just the right amount of melancholy. If it was pretentious, then it's the good kind of pretentious.

Also, love this line "Kate balances on the rail. She turns neatly, toes a perfect pivot, and makes her way back down the rail. Neither boy makes a move as to steady her hips, catch her if she falls - though Eli looks like he wants to. They both know what she could do." <3<3<3 Kate
