1) My goodness the Rohirrim are hard.  I mean, they are quite tough in the book, but here 6,000 Rohirrim go through the Armies of Sauron, including Oliphaunts, like a knife through butter.   I think Rohirric horses may be closely related to rhinos.    I don't care though. Room painted (including fiddly burgundy doorframe and skirting boards)   Crown Solo paint really does only need one coat.  'Colors' magnolia was a false economy : next time buy more expensive wall paint and avoid having to double-coat and touch up!

I'm watching a film called Dragon Hunter.  It's not very good.  There's just been a brilliant moment when some bloke snogged the Elven Princess and the poor girl playing her is sooooo obviously repelled by the guy.  It was hilarious: in extreme closeup you could really appreciate her trying to act adoring while trying to have her lips in absolutely ( Read more... )

I finally lost my cold ( and went to see Serenity. )

I was never a big Wells fan when I was younger, but I find that the more distant he becomes, the more I can enjoy the good bits and put the world view down to history.
