Moving Forward and All Change!

WELL. It has been a rather frantic few weeks. The Shop on the Borderlands has been growing like a particularly enthusiastic weed, and, already pushed for space, we decided that we were really going to have to look at Doing Something. We now have stock in all the bedrooms, tucked under beds and packed onto shelves, and getting stuff up and down the ( Read more... )

I had been wondering what the outcome had been of the hip X-ray ?
The house looks incredible, so much space, and lovely views...
I am really happy for you, is the area dog friendly as well ?

X-ray found nothing, so I agreed with my doctor that I'd take ibuprofen and try to lose weight as the next option. Quitting sugar (well, mostly) seems to have unexpectedly helped a lot...

Yes, the sort of beachy area is dog friendly and at low tide you can walk out over the sand and up onto the headland, I did the walk when I went to see it (because of course the dog-walking is the most important!)

That house is amazing! I can see right through the less than stellar "House Beautiful" pictures. I would sell my soul for that house--inside and out. And the views are incredible. At least they did not do crazy zoom lens pictures. So many realtors do that in the U.S. that it is virtually impossible to get an idea of the size or shape of any of the rooms.

The views are indeed very special. I agree that the photos are at least not misleading, but I do feel that they could have done a little more with lighting and positioning! Still, good for us that they didn't ;-)

Great point! Congratulations!

One of the ways Laura and I have entertained ourselves through the Pandemic is looking at houses for-sale on line. In order for it to be fun they have to be within the realm of possibility within an only slightly kinder world. So our comments range from things like "That one's a steal at that price!" to "Kind of nice, but ugh! so overpriced." I have to show her this one--I think she would agree with me that it is terrific!

Oh I do love the conservatory, the windows and that view are wonderful!

My previous doctor got quite alternative before he retired and swore that if one stopped eating sugar, it would cure any number of ills. He probably had a point, just -- very difficult. I'm glad it's working so well for you. Must admit the last time I cut carbs I had masses of energy. Can't remember why I fell off that wagon. Possibly laziness..

Yes, the arched windows are great, aren't they?

The Second Nature people seem to have quite a bit of science behind them, though I'm not exactly well-qualified to assess it, there's a daily article to read, and some of them go into a reasonable amount of detail about nutrition and physiology.

That house looks amazing!

I hope you can find someone to do the painting, and everything goes off okay.
