I really hate the style of form captcha where one must demonstrate that one is a human being by choosing all the photos that contain cars, or all the photos that contain street signs, for example

I came across it last week - not the best thing. I prefer the box I just have to tick to say I'm not a robot (although I do consider the possibility every time!)
They are getting worse--the pictures are getting fuzzier and more confusing all the time. I think the way we're heading eventually we will end up with captchas that demonstrate that anyone who can handle them is a true AI.
They are awful. I used to think them only mildly annoying, but the latest iteration can be really hard to get through if you are unlucky with the photos they give you. I now submit them only if they are on something absolutely crucial I can't get round any other way.
Or possibly, that AI has got to the point where it's easier for a spambot to be human than for a human...
I look forward in terror to the day when captchas will ask us to write a haiku, or tell it a joke, and will judge our humanity on how telling is the haiku, or how funny is the joke :-D
