Yesterday I slew most of a giant buddleia bush, which was infested with an interesting quantity of fungus.  Henning and Bob the Robin both showed considerable interest in proceedings.  ( Read more... )

Was Henning actually showing interest in Bob?

Not really. He's never been a great hunter, and also I'm not sure how good his eyes are these days. I'm not sure that Henning has ever actually caught prey himself (as opposed to thwacking another cat and nicking theirs).

He's a bit of a git really. Good thing he looks like a teddy bear.

Bob looks more impressed than Henning. But then it's always harder to impress a cat...

Henning is reasonably easy to impress as cats go, but Boblington Robin was always going to be particularly enthused by the movement of large amounts of rotting wood, disclosing a myriad wiggling things...

I think he's put on a couple of extra pounds since you last cuddled him, drattit! He's not keen on going out and exercising in this weather, I should make a point of waving toys at him to compensate.

Beautiful in appearance, not quite so lovely in personality. He's a bully and such a coward! But at least he gives a lovely cuddle.
