These Walking Boots II

Back in March I asked you all for your opinion about how and where I should buy walking boots. Your opinions, were, unsurprisingly, inconclusive, and fearful of acquiring The Wrong Boots Grommit,  I decided to go to a walking boot shop instead.  But alas; the walking shop not only had no boots of that particular style in stock, they had no similar

What is this strange shop that sells winter clothes and shoes in winter, and waits for summer before stocking up on the summer range? Don't they realise that's against The Rules?

I guess walkers perhaps aren't great planners ahead? Seems odd, that, what with all the ... maps and things. But apparently so it goes...

Shop was the slightly oddly-named Kountry Kit of Tavistock.

It seems to me that they're implying that walking boots migrate. I will keep an eye out for summer boots gathering on telegraph wires this autumn.

That might explain why they never called to say the Summer Boots had landed. Maybe all the rain this year has disrupted the migration routes and the Summer Boots never made it across the channel.

Good luck on the finding of the boots! I hate it when a perfect product gets discontinued. Why do they do that?

Kountry Kit? I remember someone saying how they used to work in a local gift shop and had to answer the phone 'Hello! Country Craftwork', being very very careful to avoid slips of the tongue...

I assume that the 'K' is supposed to defuse the potential mispronunciation, but I really don't think it helps!
