And ouch! on Az's insurance bill. (Though the annual insurance on my last dog was over £500 when I finally had to give up on the premiums... But it was a rare month when he didn't make at least one visit to the vet).
Mollydog's insurance quote was £622 LAST year when she was only 11. I gave up at that point, and she has had a completely vet-free year (well apart from vaccs & wormers), so Neh! to the insurance people. Greyhounds are SO expensive.
Az is 13+ now, but he has the Golden Ticket - ie, he is officially a crossbreed...
Both of them have cataracts, but I'm not putting them through eye ops at their age even if I could afford it : they seem quite happy operating on blur & sniff.
They charged me nearly as much for Mikka, and he had a £100 excess plus 20% but given his penchent for running up astronomical bills with a preference for out of hours services at the most inconvenient moment, I didn't dare cancel.
