What a worry with hope Yama Bungle but hopefully she'll continue to improve. I completely despair of ever making my dogs comfortable as they either reject or destroy every luxury I buy them. Hope Mollydog comes round eventually.

He's eaten some chicken for breakfast, so I am hopeful all will be well.

I wouldn't bother so much about the hounds if they were better adapted to face the world unassisted, but they are so skinny and bony! Mollydog looks like she SHOULD be cold. Maybe she isn't though...

I know what you mean about looking as if they should wear coats. My neighbour's pack of hounds all dress up in the cold but another neighbour's lurcher who looks as if he's every bit as thin skinned absolutely refuses to wear anything, much to the distress of his owners!

I hope Yama is okay.

And isn't the coat thing just bloody typical of dogs?

Yama seems to have perked up. I am hopeful that Mollydog may come round to The Coat if I persuade her with sufficient quantities of liver treats.

Possibly I overtaxed Madam Obstinate by expecting her to be well behaved while shopping and then expecting her to be good and wear the results immediately!

Molly is a hound of strong opinions, I see.

Maybe she could get together with my brother-in-law... He was refusing to hold the lead of Sinbad the Jack Russell earlier because my sister had bought the dog a little fur-trimmed coat which BIL considered might damage their street cred.

We saw one of those strange little bugeyed squish-faced dogs at the dog coat stall wearing a ridiculous red jumper with bows and knitted holly leaves on it. Mollydog pulled an excellent banana-face at it.

But her coat is a much more practical-looking object! And her legs are literally transparent, you'd think she's appreciate SOME extra warmth... mutter mutter mutter.

Are you absolutely sure that Molly is Irish, and doesn't really come from Newcastle?

Pellinor goes around in all weathers in just a t-shirt, and only ever wears arms when he's ill. Maybe he has greyhound somewhere in his ancestry.

More likely Molly has hidden Newcastle ancestry : nudism is not a typical greyhound thing!

She has Irish ear tattoos, but for all I know she got them put in by some dodgy tattooist like the ones that tattoo people with rude messages in Chinese...
