I found a baby treecreeper this morning.  He wasn't abandoned, as one of his parents flew down and fed him just as I was approaching, but he was sitting right in the middle of a road!  This didn't seem like a good move, so I shooed him up the road to a layby, as he was reluctant to go into the long grass.

She danced on her hind legs* this morning and sang the song of 'Owt Naow!' so she has had a walk. I reckon a walk is probably better post-op care than encouraging the dancing...

*yes, including the one operated on. Fortunately, nothing popped.

I quite liked Ash, but the Orthe books are definitely my favorite of hers, despite the tragic bits.

I just love a really good detailed alien world. It's like going on holiday...

Actually, I'm feeling better today, except for my brain which feels like it's slowly falling to pieces into a cloud of candyfloss. And you wouldn't believe how long it just took me to type that. Every other letter was wrong.

maybe I'll just let my fingers wander away and type what they want, they seem to knw what they are doing...

I am pleased to hear that things are looking up. I often watch daytime TV when I'm feeling like that (which has the added benefit that when I start getting bored with it, it's a sign that I should be back at work!)
