I very much enjoying your write-up, which made me laugh out loud. I particularly like the Orks (there's a Diana Wynne Jones novel trying to get out there, methinks) and the friendly waterfall. The landscape in some of the pictures is so strange it doesn't look like a photo at all, but a painting; I'm still not sure that the fifth picture in the third post (the one just before gullgullgullgullSEAL!) isn't a painting.

The whole country is like a painting waiting to happen. I tried drawing it in coloured pencils but it went horribly, horribly wrong and looked awful. May try acrylics now I am back (travelling with a huge pile of squishy tubes seemed like a recipe for disaster...)
