Helena had her 12 month checkup today, and her early tendencies towards being tall, fat, and small-brained have been cast aside in favor finally putting some of those calories into her head. Which is just fine with me

YAY!!!! on the hearing - I have been worrying about that. Not that you needed any help worrying about that, just doing it anyway.

My understanding is that you shouldn't worry about height/weight until they're two or three, as long as the growth curve is smooth.

Woo hoo, Helena! I'm so glad her hearing and speech are bouncing back so quickly! I had a feeling they would - you guys acted quickly when you found out there was a problem, and kids this age heal so fast it's crazy. Congrats on your healthy, average cutie!
