It is! I wanna cry! I'm starting a campaign today to convince fiancée to install it on his computer (mine probably couldn't take it) :D If I succeed, and it turns out I like the game, I'd like to have Late Night and Ambitions first I think. World Aventures seems great and pretty too, but with sims 2 I always liked the everyday life better than the travels, so it wouldn't be first on my list :)

I have it, but uninstalled it because I hated it because it sucks. xD Well, it doesn't exactly suck, the gameplay is fun and super-cool and all, but I don't like the lack of intricate details/ADELE'S AWESOMENESS/pudding-y-ness of it all.
I always figured I would get it in a few years when it reaches TS2 levels of mods and CC, but come on, have you seen Late Night? I was hanging out downtown in my game this morning, at the same time the Late Night pictures started flowing in, and I just thought "DOWNTOWN SUCKS!"
The TS3 sims is really growing on me too, at first I was like "wtf?". But I really adore the thought of bodytypes that actually change and doesnt just get a bigger belly when the sims eat too much turkey.
I'd at least like to try it out, I think it's my duty as a hardcore sims fan to at least give it a chance ;)
TS2 gameplay in general totally sucks in comparison to TS3, but I personally haven't actually played for a very, very long time! I only have TS3 base game, and I must admit the Late Night pictures do look awesome,
I don't know, I guess if you prefer the game play to the realism, then TS3 is awesome - but since I'm not really in it for the gameplay, it doesn't seem very appealing. xD
I get you there, the TS2 sims are so much prettier and if you're into picture taking and creating I think TS2 is probably better, if it's not scenery you're after. I will never give up TS2 in that aspect, but I really like to play the game too, and there's only so much you can do in TS2 gameplay, when you've done it all as many times as I have you're kind of bored, that's why I'd like to try TS3. But I don't think I'll ever get as invovled in that as I am in TS2.
I think of them as two very different games, almost unrelated. TS2 is such a great platform for creativity, and TS3 is more of a, well, game :)
I'm with you Bunhead, I'm soo ready for it!!! I have held off on the sims3 stuff for awhile and mostly because my computer cannot handle it. But after viewing Keely's and Beatdocs, Engrams stuff I have to have it now! Ambitions and Late night. I've been playing the sims2 forever and need a change...so I've managed to convince hubby that my 7 year old computer is done ( which it is) and I'm getting a new one!!!!! I love the gameplay options so I'm pretty excited.
Oh I know, Keely, Beatdoc and Engram is among the people that has tempted me the most, and just about anyone who have posted Late Night pictures during the last few days. Late Night seems so cool, but I'll be happy with just trying out the basegame for a start (that'll last for a day or so, then I'm gonna want expansion packs, lol!) I will never give up TS2, but I just don't play the game itself there anymore, it's more of a creative vessel. I'm so happy for you that you have managed to convince your hubby! I'm getting there with my fiancee too, though I don't need a new computer, I just need his computer ;) I hope to see pictures when you finally get it!
