Suffice to say, I now know that no radio stations in NYC play actual music, and it's no wonder New Yorkers are so irate when YOU DON'T SEE THE SUN EVER WTF. I stepped off the plane into Orlando International and was literally blinded by the sunlight streaming through the windows. Oh, Florida, I have never appreciated you more

Lol, yeah, I had a regatta at Kings Point. It was COLD and WET and with shitty wind. Actually, the weekend on the whole wasn't all bad, up until we spent 6 hours at the airport, had two flights canceled, paid $200 for a hotel room in the ghetto, and woke up at 5:30AM to go back to the airport. Suck.

DUDE. I could not believe it ...the only time we actually heard a solid 10 minutes of music was at about 7:30 on Saturday morning. The rest of the time it was play two songs, listen to the DJs talk for 10 minutes, then listen to 10 minutes of commercials. RIDICULOUS. I guess maybe I'm spoiled, but all the stations around here have AT LEAST 50 minutes of commercial-free music. I guess the airwaves are more expensive in NY? O.o;

Next time, I'm definitely bringing my iTrip. I don't usually bring it on trips, because it's kind of fragile and finicky, and it eats up battery (I have an AUX jack in my car), but I was definitely wishing I had it on this trip.

Tampa is kind of one my least favorite places in Florida, lol. It just feels very un-Floridian to me, but maybe that's because I grew up beachside, and it's kind of a different lifestyle from anywhere else.

But it is sunny, and green, and full of people who don't necessarily look at you like you're something they scraped off the bottom of their shoe. :D (New York made me feel exceedingly frumpy. So many rich, well-dressed people, oi.)

Also, Tampa has probably the best radio stations EVER, woohoo. \o/
