This is just fantastic. Wrenching and wonderfully in character. FYI, I've added a link to this at the Wounded Lestrade Rec List.

This is just the kind of torment Moriarty would think up. Well done!

While this is an intresting idea, there are some problems with it.
1. Caveat lector for spoilers is not the correct saying. Caveat lector means that there may be mistakes in the fic. So at least that part is correct.

2. Oy is not British. It is Yiddish (I think, I'm not Jewish so I'm not sure). Oi is British.

3. It takes more than two days for the skin to really heal from that kind of wound. There would have been stitches which usually take a week to really start to heal. So after two days all John would have needed to do is cut the stitches (remove the staples because that wound would have been closed with both staples and stitches) and maybe reopen a bit of flesh.

4. If Lestrade wasn't given anything before the first surgery why did they drug him after?

5. I'm not sure but depending on the ward most of the nurses would be called sisters or different names depending on their job. John would know what the correct term to be used. You might want to ask a Brit.

Thank you so much! :) I appreciate this a lot. Some of this will take a bit more editing than others, but I really appreciate the crit.

You're welcome. I know lots of people don't like crit but I feel as a writer that it is the only way to be a better writer.

I shouldn't love this, I really shouldn't, it's mad and sick and just a bit not good... but I loved it! And oh you have no idea just how much I loved it!

It could be because I'm a fan of anything horrific and creepy, or because angst and dark!fics are my cup of tea, and your fantastic writing style definitely has something to do with it... the result is still the same: I loved this! :D

Thank you. This is my first foray into actual torturing of characters, so I'm really glad it came out.
