Save Me, San Francisco

Nov 12, 2011 22:25

At the end of April, I flew out to San Francisco for a few days of vacation. My cousin flew down from Portland and we met up at the airport. She definitely got the better flight deal but I didn't care. I love San Francisco.

Take me to the city by the bay )

Maybe I need to move to the West Coast.

Heh, you and VR_Trakowski are clearly California girls who need to come home, babies!

There are only two things keeping me from moving west: my love of snow and my hockey team. I could probably get a little snow if I moved to Portland but the hockey team is a bigger hurdle. I do plan to get there eventually though.

After reading this.....I'm hungry! This trip sounded wonderful and I enjoyed reading all about it. Felt like I was there. I've been just to the very edge of San Francisco. A friend and I drove there from San Jose and she was afraid to drive into the city and since I'm a Yooper who only knows how to drive on 2 lane highways, no way was I going to attempt to drive, so we just ended up on the beginning edge of the Fisherman's Warf. Had lunch in the first restaurant we saw and then amazed ourselves in actually finding our way out of there and back to San Jose. I was disappointed in not seeing the Golden Gate Bridge, but that will be a bucket list. Loved your pictures.

Fly out there with me sometime and I'll be happy to drive you around. I drove all over LA and then up to Santa Barbara with Steph and then all over San Francisco because my cousin was afraid to drive. I have to admit, stopping up a hill was kind freaky at first but after you've driven in DC traffic, nothing much scares you.
