The questions I had on Friday night were, "Where am I going on my exchange visit with the US National Guard?" and "What time will I achieve on my first half-marathon?"

Wow - of all the places in the US, you end up in Wisconsin! I think Fort McCoy is about a 3 hour drive from Madison, so I'm probably not visitable, but it will be awesome to know there's a fellow Safrican in the state. Yay! Where are you flying in to?

I'm flying in to Washington Dulles, then a connecting flight to Minneapolis-Saint Paul, then a military flight to Fort McCoy. I'm there for two weeks, and a three-hour drive isn't that far. I'll talk to my host and see if we can arrange a visit ;)

It would be awesome to see you if you can swing it - I can offer relatively comfy accommodation, and all the fried cheese curds you can eat! When are you heading to the US?
