In Europe, sex in general and safe sex in particular are on TV and a lot more prevalent, whereas violence is more regulated. I'm all for that - I don't think video games make people kill other people, but really, come one, which one would a more cultured, civilized person want to see? Says something about American society.

It's the hypocrisy that kills me

I sure hope it doesn't actually kill you, because America runs on this stuff. Politics, culture, personal interaction - not only hypocrisy, but demagoguery, two-facedness, and other wonderful qualities. I'm not saying other cultures don't have them, but these seem to be the very foundations of the U.S. establishment. Ugh.
