Does your area have a local magazine? You should start submitting photos to them.

I've never looked. I should do that.
500px Prime (kind of like Getty Images) licensed 8 of my photographs.
It's just really hard to make money in photography, but I love doing it so, for now it's just the enjoyment I get out of it.
