In response to cruel cyberbullying that has left their 16-year-old daughter feeling humiliated and unable to sleep, a pair of fed-up parents are striking back at the offending classmates in a unique and public way: They're suing all seven of the teens for libel and all of their parents for negligence

This is good news. When the consequences of a child's behavior reaches his/her own home, he/she will think twice about bullying.

With how ready my parents were to sue our school district back when I was in middle school for failing to do anything (and for the completely ineffective therapy they basically forced me to attend on our own dime), it sometimes surprises me that they didn't do something like this. But then again, that was in a time before social media and before even widespread internet usage, so it would've been that much harder to document and provide credible evidence.

That said, I hope the lawsuit succeeds, and that it sends a clear message to these kids--and to others--about what bullying leads to.
