Bravo, girl! Yes, I share the sentiment with these girls, though I'm not the sporty type. I have my own confidence and inner-peace and I hope my future spouse is a guy with an open mind and can appreciate it. Won't need a guy who can't.

I like women who have muscle. It's healthy and attractive. I'm not interested in muscle resulting from steroid use, but natural muscle is great on a woman.
I guess I like tomboys, but really, it's probably just that I believe life is too short to worry about ridiculous insecure and immature things like whether someone is masculine enough or feminine enough. Women and men aren't opposite or nearly as different as most people think, but everyone is unique and also has unique tastes, that's what makes life possible and interesting.

I think it's interesting how the men who were running this marathon, instead of being upset at there being a woman there, protected her. I suspect it's a matter of perspective; for some reason they saw her as a fellow athlete and respected her as such, while the race organizer for some reason didn't recognize that she was an athlete, only recognized her as a woman (and his definition of a woman was obviously rather limited and flawed).
