From my canons? MAGENTA. Magenta all the way come be my snarky guinea-pig-shape-shifting BFF. WE COULD TOP WARREN TOGETHER IT WOULD BE SUPER. I want a Magenta so bad. Alternately like three counselor rounds down the road I would try and get you to do a Zander/Star double app with me from Metanoia. Perhaps by then they will ACTUALLY UPDATE MORE augh internet manga.

..and actually I want to know the same from you, even if my app queue is starting to get ridiculous.

Hmm, let's see. From my canons:

#1: ADAM ADAM ADAM ADAM. ALSO ADAM. DID I MENTION ADAM?
#2: I... cannot think of anyone from TB who needs to be in camp. Or, at least, no one Asta associates with a lot.
#3: ...E-either Lumiere or Gaston. I'd trust you with Gaston, and that's the important thing.

Ash...has a fair bit of patience as long as he and/or Kieran aren't in any danger. WHAT WORKS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE is that he really does see Mihashi as being a little kid, and little kids do not have to be intelligent or do much thinking for themselves. Ash has kind of spent the past year being a whiny uke who needed protection from everything, so he understands being afraid, if not necessarily in this context. He does kind of want to flick Mihashi in the forehead and be like 'Everything. Is. Not. Your. Fault.' but he is used to living with Kieran. So he'll get patience in droves, but...no respect at all unless his behavior changes.

A SPINE. Does Mihashi have one in there somewhere?

That makes sense. Mihashi's a total crybaby in the context of his series, and when you put him in a place where there are kids his age who have SAVED THE WORLD, he's even less impressive. But patience is more important than respect anyway ;o;

But YES. HE DOES. Well, for a given value of spine. Mihashi is very willing to defend other people, even if it means standing up to people he's afraid of. ....of course he may break down at them in almost the same moment. But he'll try!

What's the one canon that you wish someone would app (or, alternatively, app more from)?

I would love to see more novel canons in general. There are so many awesome books out there. I'd love to see Sandman characters, Dune characters, characters from the My Teacher is an Alien series, which may or may not only be remembered by me, more Dresden Files characters...

But if I had to pick one, I want people to app from Matilda, by Rohl Dahl. That was my absolute favorite book growing up.

O rite and a question! How do you pick your apps? Do you get topped, pick your own, top other people into apping with you?

SOTOPPED, sob. Of my lot, Ginji was the only one that I completely and independantly of my own decided I wanted to app in -- granted, with Sharon, it was more like this:

ME: So don't laugh.
OZ: ?
ME: Do you guys have a Sharon yet.
OZ: WE DO KNOW. 8D

--my potential counselor is ALSO someone that I am happily apping of my utter own free will, because it needed to be a double app and when I mentioned this, someone agreed to go in on the other. \o/

Do you find it difficult, sometimes, to throw a co-dependant character like Ash into new posts sometimes? Or is it with the assumption that Kieran is always implied to be close by?

Would Ash tell Kieran about the fact that Tobias and the hawk are the same person?

If it came up, probably. He'd need a good and explicit reason not to if it's relevant. But he wouldn't really be like 'hey, I met this kid who's sometimes a hawk' just in general conversation, because...Kieran doesn't care! He's sort of 'yes honey, you met more people, that's nice' [headpat] about Ash being social. Plus, they already know Horus, who is a god/hawk/crazy naked kid, so there's a frame of reference for this hawk-boy thing.

What made you decide on that PB for Tobias? (I have a purely selfish reason for asking this question, it's not a criticism at all!)

I have a horrible horrible thing about the entertainment industry; I don't know actors at all so I had serious issues trying to pick a PB. I didn't want to use the stuff from the TV show because his hair was the wrong color (plus a lot of the screencaps were godawful quality or had the ugly Nick logo in the worst places.) Then someone mentioned in a comment that the previous Tobias player had used Jonathan Brandis as a PB, so I ended up kind of stealing that idea because not only is he pretty much how I imagine Tobias (also, very hot, and made me squee when I recognized him from stuff. :D) and because I couldn't think of alternatives anyway. :/

What ethnic food can you imagine Ash liking?

I was just interested in whether you'd come to him on your own or carried on from the old Tobias--I was the one who suggested she use Jonathan Brandis waaaaay back in the day, you see. I am a SeaQuest fangirl. XD

Ash's canonical ethnicity is a very poorly covered-up analogue to the Irish, so I know he likes that sort of food. For some reason, I can imagine him really enjoying Indian food, but I don't know what leads me to say this. He'd also like French food, I think. He's a closet sensate.

What does Tobias think of Ash?

How would Ash have reacted if instead of being an uncle Kieran had decided to adopt Violet or Robin himself? I mean, besides having a heart attack.

step 3: wonder why his children are dating.

More seriously, Kieran adopting the children as his own would give Ash the sense that camp has changed Kieran in profound ways. Not in bad ones, mind, but this is still something he doesn't really sense at the moment. Right now, he sees the differences in Kieran's level of relationships as things that happened to him and he accepted when there was no ignoring it anymore, much like he did with Ash in canon and with Vimes recently in camp. And they're good things! Kieran having family is for some reason very important to Ash. Actually adopting the kids would be different somehow. He would absolutely go with it, though, since he's already pretty much done that with Violet and obviously feels a level of responsibility toward Robin. It would also go an extra step toward making him feel like he might be able to keep his promise to Medur without Kieran leaving him, which is a very, very distant-but-still-real fear. He'd rather break the promise to

He's worried and glad. He's scared that Ash is going to like it here or like being around people again and that they're going to end up somewhere that isn't the desert. He's also scared that Ash is going to be hurt when he has to leave any friends here behind. At the same time he's also happy that Ash is allowed to do this social thing and the way he's topping people and basically being nice. He thinks it's the way Ash was in Ladygate and it's nice to see other sides of him.

On the topic of the kiddies again, does Ash want a daughter or a son?

This is sort of funny because right now Ash really wants to go back to the desert where it's just them and quiet and uncomplicated. ;; His opinions will likely change next week, but right now he has a headache and wants to go home.

Ash is torn on this topic now, which is funny because he had no real opinion on it before coming to camp. In his ideal world, he'd like a daughter just like Violet. In practical terms, he wants a son, because he doesn't think the stigma against women with Talents is really going to change in their lifetime, even if the Watch falls and no one is burning Talents out anymore. In reality, he's going to love any kind of kid that comes out.

Does Kieran think they're really going to be able to do everything Ash promised he'd try to do?
