nice clothing is sometimes absurdly expensive, which i'm realizing now that i'm not shopping in the JUNIORS department, where you can get some skanky tube top for $6 if you want. but i worked at a sort of discounted designer clothing store this summer and bought some of the nicest things i've ever owned made of luxurious materials like silk and cashmere at EXCELLENT prices. unfortunately i probably won't have many occasions to wear them because i'm in college, where the standard uniform is an OSU sweatshirt and jeans. boo hoo i want to be a fancy adult.
and i LOVE the "his dark materials" triology. also good is the abhorsen trilogy by garth nix (whose name sounds disturbingly like a country singer's). i used to read tons of fantasy books when i was younger and those are among my favorites.
