Okay, I just have to tell you that backup for the death penalty is in the bible, I've had it explained to me before and it makes sense. I forget now the actual verses, but it says that putting to death someone who has broken the law of the land is not murder.

I'm not quite sure where I stand on the subject, but if you ever try to use the "Thou shalt not murder" commandment against the death penalty, just know that the argument isn't valid when you're talking to a Christian who really knows the bible.

I'll take your word for it. I haven't actually read the Christian Bible myself, so I admit I'm not as familiar with what I'm talking about as I probably should be. I'm going to edit my post above on that. Thanks for informing me about it. :)

Ironically, I actually believe the death penalty has use in modern society. (Whether and how appropriately it is used is a whole another matter that I feel too lazy to discuss here.) I just find it hypocritical that some people proudly claim themselves to be "pro-life" while advocating use of the death penalty. (And yes, I know what the term "pro-life" usually refers to.)

derrick if you disrepect my religion, our gods might be anrgy at you and tell the trolls to stop holding you down, making you float into the air and die because of the lack of oxygen... and yes our god might spare your family but maybe not your house! so expect gravity to stop working there too HAHAHAHHAHAHAH!!!!!!!

Well, you've shown contempt for my religion, so that means that you will also likely suffer punishment. It might involve scary things that I cannot name for fear of using the names of my gods in vain.

hey and a better example for thou shalt not kill... the time when we gave them small-pox-giving blanket causing them to die. wait nvm that wasn't our fault. IT's their fault for not having the immunity to it! (do to others what you would do to yourself.. sure i want that blanket, and you can have one too =)! )ok nvm, i guess our nation and history was founded on the bible. so show it more respect!

Actually, ironically, I believe the death penalty has a place in modern society. See this comment for more details.

And lol, slaves. You sure don't take anything you say seriously, do you?
