You don't really like the JA/JP pairing, do you? Because I can't remember a fic you wrote where they were actually happy. You may had written promises of happiness only to break them or kill one of them or something. Like, for you, they don't deserve a happy ending.
That's probably you, just the way you are and you write. I just realized it's not what I want to read. There's enough pain in real life and lack of happy endings. I like to see happy ending in the things I read. But this is just me.
So, anyway, your writing is wonderful, I guess it's just not what I want to read.
Take care.

i love the ja/jp pairing. i think it's wonderful to write, but the way i see these men in my mind. . .
well and i thought that the last fic wasn't unhappy. . . and i didn't think underway was unhappy at all. relationships end, people change. and in underway i thought that jensen made the right choice. being straight makes the ending tragic? i understand that these days, especially in fandom writing, anything but the prescribed pairings are considered sacrelige, but i decided a long time ago that i wasn't going to sacrifice good writing to make everything nice and pretty.
i do have some good endings in the works but they're much harder for me to write. partly because of my writing style and partly because i just can't picture these kids lasting for longer than a oneshot.
anyways. thanks for reading while you did, and i do love this pairing, i love reading it, and i loved writing it.

See? That's why I didn't want to say anything in the first place. This: . and i didn't think underway was unhappy at all. relationships end, people change. and in underway i thought that jensen made the right choice. being straight makes the ending tragic? i understand that these days, especially in fandom writing, anything but the prescribed pairings are considered sacrelige, is not what I said.
I do think that your latest fic was sad, heartbreaking even, but in any moment I told ya to change your writing, quite the contrary. I told ya that I think your writing is amazing - I've said over and over during your Underway writing, even when you didn't feel it.
What I said is that I am in a moment where I need some happy fics, not fics that reminds me how fucked up life is. Sorry if telling you that and letting you know that I admire your work despite it not being what I need to read right now offended you.

it didn't. and i dug up some happy endings for you. i guess your comment was the last straw of sorts. i've had a flooding of comments from people saying oh it's too sad or oh please fix them. and i guess the last story was sad in it's own way, but i also know from the love i've felt, that change doesn't mean what they had wasn't great and wonderful and worth it. and yeah it didn't work out, but sometimes things just don't. i guess. i think there are other things in this world much more heartbreaking then a relationship ending. but that's just me.

and in underway i felt that i showed what would have happened if jensen had chosen jared, and that was sad, but i showed that to help people make more sense of jensen's decision. in the end, love isn't easy, and jensen showed his love by not putting jared through the isolation that would have come if they had stayed together.

but anyways, as i said, i have two stories above with happy endings.

thanks for reading.

Rats - everybody wants a happy ending? bluecimmers November 2 2007, 23:35:31 UTC
I hope I'm strong enough - I know that sometimes a story demands to be written a certain way, and I've come across several fanfics that didn't have a "happily ever after" that I'd rec any day. (I'm not one of those silly people who think that the writer is in charge of the story. :P ) People who earn a living on their work have to tread more carefully - I recall "Little Shop of Horrors" and all the audience "BOOS" at the first ending.

I go skipping off to read your J2 fic.

PS You don't know me - this may be very weird - but I'm currently sleep deprived. Ta ta!
