I enjoyed this not because I am a Nate/Serena fan, but because you capture the essence of the relationship between the Fab Four so perfectly. Especially the bit toward the beginning about the soccer game and then toward the end about what Nate wishes the summer would be like. You should post this in the gg_nyroyalty community, which is for N/B/S/C stuff. :)

I'm not a Serena/Nate fan and neither I consider myself to be a Nate fan, but your one-shot is great. The way you develop their relationship (and all the others) throughout the years, the big and the subtle changes in their lives,everyone's characterizations, Nate's thoughts and feelings - I've rarely seen a GoGi fic that felt so true to me. I particularly liked tha part in which Chuck pretends to know about hockey just to lean closer to Blair (that's so like him) and I was very intrigued by Nate's thoughts on Dan's story. I've always wondered if Dan was actually in love with Serena or with the idealistic picture of her he'd painted in his mind before even talking to her for the first time, but the bit on the story-girl looking more like Blair than Serena was an interesting twist.

I ship Dan with Blair because I think he sees her for what she really is- he doesn't put her on a pedestal like he does Serena. Thank you very much!
