[Ariadne and Eames are thusly sitting on the couch in the flat they share with Arthur. It is New Year's, and they are tipsy.]

[ The camera wobbles a bit, as Eames puts it haphazardly on an unsturdy surface. He is giggling. He cocks his head to an unseen person in the flat ]

[ The champagne was getting to him. He had to double check that the video was off, before he holds Ariadne up against the couch; as he waits for Arthur to react. He uses the ample time by catching Ariadne's bottom lip with his. Deft fingers running along and tracing down the edges of Ariadne's top. He pulls away, only momentarily. ]

Certainly an interesting start to the year.

[it's really not all that it could be without Arthur there on the couch with them, but she can deal with it for the time being, merely distracting herself with Eames' mouth against hers, however brief it may be.]

[the reply comes a bit later - perhaps an hour or so. She smiles at the little greeting, and how cheerful it is.]

[he's eating some of the chocolate Eames had given him for Christmas, wrapped up in many of his winter clothes.]

I saw some fireworks and thought about haiku! So I guess~

[Eames gives the best presents. Admittedly, she's done the champagne he gave her - between the three of them, really...]
