I love this, such an Escape Velocity moment where Bill carries her bag.
Bill always has to carry her bag in a fic. And I slipped a Oath moment in there with her little woman comment.
Poor Bill, wanting a weekend away with his woman, but always so willing to sacrifice his immediate plans for her.
This will be a test for Laura. Away from their little safe world of Piedmont Avenue, she'll have to make some adjustments. But we know she's up to it. :D

I honestly cannot wait for this. I am SO looking forward to reading her in this new domestic situation! What will she call him now? Her "travel companion?" Her "weekend roommate?" :P
Seriously, I am bouncing up and down on my couch right now in excitement. Fonzie is so used to my reactions whenever I read nunfic he's not even looking up from his pillow. That should probably worry me ... *continues to flail in excitement and anticipation*

Yay for hot smut! I just love how they're communicating. Their trying to be quiet amplifies a lot of the meaning of the sounds and words you describe. For some reason this in particular really appealed to me:
He roared with laughter, the peels echoing off the tile. She slapped her palm over his mouth. When he nodded that he would be good, she moved her hand.
Happy sigh at all the BBE moments. Carrying her bag, planning the romantic weekend getaway. The idea of them walking hand in hand to the school is just too cute for words.

The walk, the kiss, and the trip-planning were so sweet and she seems to new & fresh with everything. Nice to see her being comfortable (after processing it) with him paying for the trip as a matter of practicality and not needing to prove anything about independence.
The guards, Baltar, and Cavil, plus the tablet, are freaking me out...and how rare and cool is it to have such hotness and such suspense in the same story??
Wonderful and I can't wait for more.

One of the ironies of life is how you learn things too late to be any use to you in your 20's when you needed that information.

The upside of missing 30 years of crappy dating is Laura doesn't do the 20's drama about everything.
