About the gap thing - did you try adding to the post, in HTML mode? And removing any excess html formatting at the beginning of the post, if there is any?

I tried the "raw" thing and it did nothing. And there's no excess html.

Go figure.

It looks fine in friends feed and on the buffyversetop5 main page, so probably it's just the way how this theme handles large images...

I expect it could be the image sizes making things wonky. It might be best to just link to the wallpapers instead of embedding them.
