Yes. Then I get mad. Don't they know that they are taking away MY FIC!???!?!?!!!! Give it back! *pant, pant* Then I cry. Bitter, bitter tears. Then I find something that got archived and all is rainbows...until the next time.
Which is why I am SO EXCITED when favorite writers start to put their old stuff up on Archive of Our Own, where it will presumably gain immortality a longer life.
Amen to that. The amount of fic and archives that have disappeared is truly sad to contemplate. And so, so true about having a one-click download, especially now when so many people are reading on other devices or on-the-go.
I'll ask Kat what she's up to. We agreed the other day that she needs to take a drive up here so we can catch up. But I thought she'd let rogue poet (the award part, anyway) go some time ago. Are you referring to her own website of her own stuff?
Yep, her own stories is now only available via Wayback, as far as I can tell. Even her original LJ is decommissioned. A lot of people still ask about "Lost in Time", so it would be great if she would allow Susan at Elysian Fields to post it there- and the rest of her Spuffy stuff, too. Or maybe she's thinking of reworking it for original fic?
Lots of folks would be forever grateful if you could find out! (And I'll bet there are people who would adopt Rogue Poet, if she's willing.)
