House Arrest

Can I get a SQUEE for my beautiful new floors? The living room is done, but they have to come back for another full day tomorrow to do the kitchen. Looks like I'm missing another day of work and Willow is spending tonight and tomorrow at the kennel (so she doesn't eat the installers). Oh well.

But hey, look at my floor!

love the hardwood. what shade of wood is it? i'm considering cherry for our house. does it seem pretty easy to keep clean? lord knows with a two year old i need easy!!! lol

Thanks! It's actually vinyl, not real wood. Cheaper. I can't remember the exact color... I just looked and couldn't find the paperwork that says it (a lot of stuff is still packed up), but if I remember right it is some kind of cherry color. I was going to go with something darker, but my mom said that if you use a lighter color it makes the house look bigger. I think she's right. Also, I picked this kind of floor because it's supposed to be easy to keep clean. I'm the worst house keeper ever, so I need something easy. That's the problem with my kitchen... it's apparently a type of tile that requires a lot of maintenance. So I'm glad it's getting ripped out as we speak.

About the turtle.... I wouldn't release him. Releasing animals like that can be really damaging to the eco-system. ESPECIALLY if someone else has been releasing there already. Check out these links:
