Lyrics:
It's close to midnight and something evil's lurking in the dark
Under the moonlight, you see a sight that almost stops your heart
You try to scream but terror takes the sound before you make it
You start to freeze as horror looks you right between the eyes
You're paralyzed

'Cause this is thriller, thriller night
And no one's gonna save you from the beast about strike
You know it's thriller, thriller night
So let me hold you tight and share a
Killer, diller, chiller, thriller here tonight

(I'm gonna thrill ya tonight)
Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y'alls neighborhood

And Whosoever Shall Be Found
Without The Soul For Getting Down
Must Stand And Face The Hounds Of Hell
And Rot Inside A Corpse's Shell

I'm gonna thrill ya tonight, ooh baby
I'm gonna thrill ya tonight, oh darlin'
Thriller night, baby, ooh!

The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom

And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller

Notes :
I was surprised that the song didn't seem to have been used for CVV ever in the past, considering that it's so dancey and viddable. It was definitely fun to vid though I had to rush this due to deadline and personnal schedule that prevented me from vidding much, so the end result isn't really what I had in mind at first. But it's for dancing so I guess it works.
The lip-sync part and the dancing were definitely my first ideas for the vid and what motivated me to do it, though it ended up being a nightmare on the lip-sync front. As much as the dancing-demon was, can you believe he isn't saying ONE fucking word that appears in the song's lyrics ? Seriously, man, a little help would have been nice. So this part proved very difficult to edit and I'm not sure it works that well. one of the issue being I'm not a native english here and I'm not sure my "standards" of what lip-movement/sounds works or not are the same as a native... *shrugs*

Without feeling pressure, I, like lots of people I imagine, loved the original music video of this song, so I wanted to somehow make a tribute to it, and be true to its spirit. Which is why the dancing part felt appropriate and fun, as well as the gentlemen who felt like the zombies of original video and other little things.

I was surprised the supernatural/buffy sources mixed so well considering the difference in aesthetics and overall athmosphere, but I'm glad I used both.
