Would it make you feel better to know that Nix and the girls are all already asleep and I'm sitting here alone both on the computer and watching Star Trek?

If you're looking for a good read for 2010, I am going to recommend you to my favorite book (aside from TKOM). December by Phil Rickman (http://search.barnesandnoble.com/December/Phil-Rickman/e/9780425153772/?itm=35). It's little known here, but it's by a very popular British author. It centers around a rock band that happens to be made up of psychics who break up after a strange recording experience the night that John Lennon was assassinated but are forced to regroup thirteen years later. It's fabulous, and I recommend it to anyone I know who truly loves books. It's unlike anything I've read before. I haven't decided what yet, but I'm taking something off your list.

Anyhoos, happy new year, luvie! Go read. *G*

You are most welcome. I think I added ten of what you read this last year onto my wish list at B&N. We have so many books to read, but I don't have bookcases (we need a minimum four full eight foot tall ones) to unpack our books onto yet. Yeah, I'm behind. So new books it is. I'll get to it all eventually.

But yeah, I love that book. It's in my top ten with To Kill a Mockingbird and Good Omens.

Hope you had a gorgeous day! :-)

I envy you. Two years ago I managed 70+ books by the end of the year, but the last two years I can't even get through half that. I've lost my attention span to the internet.

Happy New Year!

It was the result of a fortunate combination of working part-time at a bookstore (free books) and part-time in a job that required me to sit in one spot for hours at a time, often with very little to do. Part of the decrease may be that in the subsequent time, the ladies in the office realized that while I was sitting there, I could do small filing and sorting jobs, as well as shredding.

But the rest of it is just me getting distracted by shiny things.
