yes, yes, and just more loads of yes. I plan to send my bro a thank you card tonight. He served two years in Iraq. I told his 14 y/o daughter last night that it was the law that we had to be nice to veterans on Veteran's day, so she needed to be extra nice to her dad. She scoffed and rolled her eyes and said she was too old to fall for that. My brother said if I could actually pull that off, it would be the best thank you gift he has ever gotten. So my diabolical cogs are spinning- it will be so, i will find a way.

so thank you for reminding all of us who came before us and sacraficed all in the name of duty. /mwah!/

Bless you for posting this, sweetie!

As for Life, I'm still in denial that it's not coming back, but I love the finale so. And the buildup in the end of the ep right before it is so awesome. In the broadcast version, Cat Power's Maybe Not plays through the sequence when they find Reese's gun and he goes to see "Roman". It's one of my fav songs now. Charlie's consideration of what he wants and what he needs and the way DL delivers those lines still kills me every time. The whole sequence where Charlie trades himself for Reese...OMG I do not have words! I still have those eps on the DVR to watch when I'm having a bad day. That scene also got me hooked on Clayhill's Afterlight. And, no matter how many times I see it, I still cheer when Charlie takes Roman out with a single blow. He's so scary in that moment, but I still loves him so. And, if it had to end, I think it's perfect that the final shot has him standing in an orange grove and he looks at Reese and then up to bask in the sunlight. *wibble*

yes, charlie crews has the ability to make me feel zen. i don't know how he does it. i loved the whole 1 + 1 = 1 and i was all blubbery at the end cuz i was like IS IT LOVE? IS IT? IS IT?? and then it was and i was all melty.

i loooved the sunlight on crews because it mirrors the first ep where he's standing in the sunlight and reese is all WHO'S THIS NUTJOB? and you can see now, how much she loves and respects him.

poor charlie. he's been through so much. i hope he finds happiness. in my daydream his ex wife leaves her stupid new husband, profusely apologizes to charlie, and they get remarried. ted and olivia are together and ted sees his daughter and grandson often. charlie's house is full of light and love, and very gradually, a few pieces of furniture. reese and tidwell are happy.

the end.
