going back to work after a day off is akin to having your skin peeled off, being dipped in a vat of saltwater followed by a roll in a hot mixture of tar, granola, and crushed glass, then being forced into a suit of burlap held together by staples.

My holiday was pretty good, though I was working for a lot of it. I did get to see all my immediate family, though, and we get two bank holidays for New Year in Scotland, so I have a four-day weekend! And I've given notice at my monkey job, so I'm feeling pretty chuffed with myself :D.

How was yours? Did TK have a good time?

i'm sorry you had to work so much, but HUZZAH for giving notice! that is awesome! does the scholarship provide you with money for housing in nz?

my holiday wasn't horrible. and better yet, it's over! tk had a really good time. he makes me laugh so much. also, he wanted me to ask you if you know german. i thought you did since you know everything. ;-P

(tk is currently obsessed with learning german, as he's interested in ww1 and 2. the boy who hates school actually asked me to sign him up for an 8 week course on german culture and learning key german phrases. the class meets at recess twice a week and he didn't even mind! O_O)

sadly, you are now basically caught up on my life.

Although, if you have no use for that burlap after you're done, I could use it to make some scarecrows. I did not say that out loud. I'm such a dork when it comes to fabric.
