After that whole thing with Xander, I knew I had to get some air. The boy was suffocatin', wasn't he? So, I went for a walk in downtown Salem. It was air and I knew I could prepare myself if anything happened. Nothing happened, kinda dissapointing. I was itchin' for a fight.
I got a pack of cigarettes instead. Damn you, Harris.
As I returned to the apartment building, I stuffed the pack in my pocket. I made it just in time to see Buff comin' in too.
"Alright Faith, if you could for once, be where I need you to be..."
Right, B... Thanks a lot.
I tapped her gently on the shoulder, "Actually, right here."
I wasn't taking the situation personally. It was personal. How could it not be. I got what Buffy was sayin', I had to keep my cool. I hated it though. I had all this pent up energy and all I wanted to do was go out and rip this son of a bitch apart.
"Yeah," I sort of murmur towards her.
I still wanted to know if the girl was okay. The way B was talkin' this girl was young. Or maybe I just thought that way. Vamps did dig that whole innocent thing. It was disgusting.
"I mean it Faith, until we know exactly what we're up against... don't go running out and looking for trouble."
I wasn't trying to sound all command-like, as I was coming off... I just knew Faith, and no matter how much she has changed... we still have to worry about her running off, based on emotion.
"I walked her home, so I know where she is. From the sounds of things, she was really against her parents knowing... so showing up at her house could be tricky. Her parents might do the whole freak thing if two girls, a good eight years or so older than her, show up on their doorstep. However, we are going to have to find some way to talk to her."
"So what do you want to do Faith? Run over to the girls house, to check on her? I already told you what would happen if we do that."
I softened my tone.
"Look, I know you want to help. I do too, but I think the best way we can help that girl, right now... is find that bastard of a vampire and make him pay. And Faith, you can't lose sight of the big picture here."
I crossed my arms across my chest and paced the floor.
"The Master is back, and with your dreams... he's looking to kill you... and with our past, he's already killed me."

"What about Dawn? She sounds closer to this girl's age." I suggested with a slight sigh. I wanted to help this girl.
