Spike stood next to Angel, silent for a change. The memories rolled over him with surprising clarity.

ohhh yay!! ficcey!! poor Angel, just shows that you shouldn't take things for granted that you think will always be there.

Yeah. It's kinda how I see him though. He'd always assume that Buffy's still waiting for him and that if she was with someone that she'd drop whoever it was just for him. I would hope she has matured past that at some point (although I don't hold out much hope, knowing Joss. *rolls eyes* )

Angel never learns - you snooze, you looze. Nicely done. I really loved Xander's "I still hate you" - that is so Xander. I may have changed my mind, but I'm not going to admit it!
