A music geek who is also, gloriously, a science geek and a word geek-- basically my all-time trifecta of fabulousness. And a countertenor to boot! God bless ya.
Besides the opera and science, you were always a great listener. I really enjoyed talking to you and having fun discussions about random crap. It's been a while since I have talked to you though so yeah....sorry I can't be more helpful.
I don't know you all that well but I sure would like to! And I want to hear more about your singing, and your studies. Also, the countertenor stuff. I want to sing some Haendel with you sometimes, sooner or later :)
Hehe, my "studies" aren't that exceptional at the moment... But I definitely want to get back into it. And I love singing with other people -- I really only ever got a chance to sing with my friend Sam, and she & I very rarely did so.
This is going to be reaching back a few years farther than most people, obviously. I don't remember a lot of specific hobbies/activities/whatever, probably because we were usually doing homework (or supposed to be :) ) whenever we were together. For some reason (I really have no idea why I remember these so well and other things not), the 3 things I think of first when I think about you are : 1) You and Hope rolling a 3-ft-diameter water balloon around Morewood. I wasn't even there but this story is so absurd as to be memorable. 2) How you used to wake up in time to go to 8:30 PhysAnal and then skip your 9:30 and 10:30 classes. That was so ridiculous :P 3) The week after finals ended sophomore year. You were hanging around before leaving for Hawaii, I was hanging around working. Not so much any specific event that week, just the whole time. Probably because that was the last time I saw you, effectively.
You'd be surprised how often I think about #3 actually... That was one of the best times I had at school. I think it was around then that we just sat and talked for like 7-9 hours at the O... All night long until dawn (and then some)
