Isn't it closed all the time due to insane pollution anyway? Or am I thinking of something else?

why don't we just close all of NYS for a few months and see if we save some money!

Uhm. You should really do some research on how much NYC contributes to the overall state economy before you make ridiculous statements like that.

In fact, here's an article from right here in Buffalo that explains part of it!

Joe Davis? Well I can see their rational, as the only people that use it are Disc Golfers.

I don't understand how they would close Joesph Davis park. There's no barriers to entry, people taking money or anything. You just drive right in. It's actually a nice place to spend a quiet afternoon by the river because there is hardly ever anyone there.

If you take into consideration that in the Lew-Port area that are 3 state parks: Artpark, Ft Niagara & Joe Davis it makes sense to close the one that does not bring in the most money. There is a big barrier to entry right now as they have the South entrance service road closed off for the winter. I can see your point in easily being able to sneak in from 18F or River Rd, but once the closure happens, the U.S. Border Patrol will get you as they are always parked in there looking for illegal aliens crossing the Niagara River.
